Rates:

Generally my mastering rate is $60 per song (assuming a ~5m song). Mixing rate is $60/hour. However , no project is the same, and I often work out rates per project with clients. Please contact me for a custom quote based on your needs. My email address is : michael at hyperborealaudio dot com.

After a rate is negotiated, payment in full is required before any work starts. Paypal, Venmo, and wire/bank transfer are accepted.  For Paypal add 3% of invoice to cover transaction fees. For wire transfers please add $15 to cover bank fees.  

Technical specifications for Mastering: 

Send me uncompressed (.wav or .aiff) files at the highest bit rate and sampling frequencies they were recorded in. No need to upsample or downsample.  Dropbox / Google Drive / wetransfer are all fine. Ideally, tracks for mastering should have peaks at – 6db or lower. Also, please remove any limiters or compressors on the master track before rendering. This provides me with some headroom to work with. I can accept cassette tapes as well, and can provide high quality tape transfers.  I will deliver files for digital releases at CD quality (16bit , 44kHz) via Dropbox unless otherwise instructed. DDP files, CD hard copies, and cassette masters are available upon request for an additional fee.
