About Me:

I grew up in Anchorage, Alaska, and lived in Oakland, California, for many years. I have been mastering audio professionally since 2014, and have worked on several digital, vinyl, and cassette releases for a variety of clients. Since 2012, I’ve taught courses in Ableton Live and electronic music production at the Harvey Milk Center for the Arts in San Francisco, the Vintage Synthesizer Museum in Oakland, and also via private tutoring. In 2020, I received a Graduate Certificate in “Mixing, Mastering and Production for Visual Media” from Berklee School of Music.

I record and perform electronic music as Identity Theft, and have collaborated on various other projects over the years (such as Abandoned Footwear, Nommo Ogo, and Seacrypt). I also help run the Katabatik label and soundsystem, which has been active since 2001. I enjoy working on all kinds of extreme sounds, and have a true appreciation for the weird and esoteric side of music. My specialty is breathing life into recordings of synthesizer-based music.
